Typo3 ist ein sehr gutes Content-Management-System, das sehr viele nützliche Funktionen bietet. Wie man diese richtig benutzt, ist nicht immer klar. zum Beispiel die Bildbearbeitungsfunktionen (siehe oberes Bild):
Der Anwender kann Grafiken in unterschiedlichen Format hochladen und dann für die Ausgabe bearbeiten. Er kann die Grafik verkleinern, in ein webtaugliches Format umwandeln (z. B. jpeg, png oder gif). Er kann Bilder drehen oder in Graustufen darstellen. Oder er kann gar nichts tun.
Nur eines sollte er nicht tun. Ein Bild ändern und die Auswahl unter Qualität auf Nicht ändern stellen. Dann macht das System nämlich gar nichts.
Obwohl ich mir diese Kombination durchaus vorstellen könnte.
Das Problem ist auch in der Community bekannt, wobei dort die Meinungen darüber auseinandergehen, ob man daran was ändern sollte oder nicht.

That’s strange from a users perspective.
BK: I just tested it on T3 3.8.1 and it behaves the same there (when “no change” is choosen the image get’s not processed at all). Pherhaps the label of this field should get changed to “image processing”. Because “no change” would mean that the image get not processed at all … I think if you want to disable this option there is some TSConfig for that (for disabling one option of a type=>select field – Or isn’t there one ?)
bq. IS: Thanks for checking this, Bernhard! I just set the severity to “trivial” and agree with your comment that just the label needs to be changed.
KD:It was always that way. Don’t change means do not change it, after all.
bq. WK: The dropdown is related to the image quality, not to the image itself, so IT IS a problem!
IS: W, the only problem is the label. So if you want this to be fixed, write a patch changing the label.
