The Latin District: An Alexandria-Inspired Residential Quarter

The Latin District combines residential accommodation with an urban design inspired by Alexandria’s historic architecture.

Located in New Al-Alamein City, the development covers approximately 404 acres (1,696,800 m²), with a total built-up area of around 1,936,581 m². It comprises 229 buildings across six residential areas, providing 11,656 housing units and service facilities occupying approximately 196,289 m².

ECG provided master planning, conceptual and detailed design, a traffic impact study, tender documentation, quantity surveying, construction management and construction supervision. The development includes four- to seven-storey residential blocks, landscaped open spaces, streets and lanes. Its façades, urban forms and landscape design draw inspiration from historic Alexandria.
