Our commitments and initiatives

At Dorsch Global, we believe that sustainability is a shared responsibility - one that also extends to how we engage with society. We recognize that the challenges we face as a global community require all of us to play an active part. That is why we actively take part in external initiatives that reflect our values and help us strengthen our contribution to a more equitable and sustainable future. Through our engagement for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and with the Charta der Vielfalt e.V., we align our actions with global frameworks that promote values we consider essential to the work we do and the world we help design.

Contributing to sustainable development

Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development sets out a joined blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. At its core lie the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which address interconnected challenges - from climate action and clean energy to quality education, gender equality, and sustainable cities.

The past decade has seen meaningful global progress: since 2015, access to education, healthcare, and digital connectivity has expanded. More people now have electricity than ever before - with renewable energy emerging as the fastest‑growing power source worldwide. However, progress has been fragile and unequal. Achieving the Agenda 2030 remains extremely complex, with the current pace of chance not sufficient to achieve all goals by 2030.

At Dorsch Global, we have determined that our key contribution to the SDGs lies in our client projects, where we deliver tangible impact across environmental and social fields in more than 60 countries worldwide. We have identified the following twelve focus SDGs that particularly align with our business mission of shaping sustainable living spaces worldwide, and for which our technical expertise and skills can make the most relevant contribution to the achievement of the respective goals.

Taking a Stance for Diversity

At Dorsch Global, we know that sustainable success can only be achieved by bringing together the most diverse approaches, diverse professional and cultural perspectives, experiences, and talents.

That is why we not only want to promote diversity, but also actively live it - in our teams, projects and partnerships. With talents from over 95 countries, we are proud to bring together different approaches that shape solutions and drive impact in our projects.

Multicultural workplaces are an enrichment to all of us, and at the same time, it is imperative that we continue to foster diversity within our global team. As a proud signatory of the ‘Charta der Vielfalt’ (Diversity Charter), the largest network for diversity, equity and inclusion in Germany, we are committed to promoting these values both within our organisation and beyond. By embracing varied perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds, we foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration.

About Charta der Vielfalt e.V.

The Charta der Vielfalt e.V. is committed to anchoring diversity in business and society, and provides information about diversity management as an instrument for the development of an appreciative, open organizational culture. In this way, the Diversity Charter promotes the mutual exchange of experience and connects over 6000 signatories from business, science, public service and civil society.

Strengthening Democracy in the Digital Age

As engineers, planners, and advisors from over 95 nationalities, we know that progress depends on collaboration, critical thinking, and respectful, trusted dialogue. Wherever our people live and work, these values are universal - and worth protecting.

That is why we are proud to engage with the Business Council for Democracy (BC4D) – to strengthen digital awareness and to support our teams with the knowledge and tools to recognise and address hate speech, disinformation, and conspiracy narratives online.

Through dialogue-based training and cross-sector exchanges, the BC4D empowers companies and their employees to uphold the workplace as a space of respect, fairness, and shared values. For Dorsch Global, this reflects our ongoing commitment to our core principles of integrity and responsibility.

About the BC4D

The Business Council for Democracy promotes democratic competence among working adults through an eight-week online training program. Participants gain practical skills to recognize and counter online hate and misinformation, while employers join a growing cross-sector network dedicated to embedding democratic culture across professional life. The initiative is supported by the Hertie Foundation, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, and delivered by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD).

Partnering for a sustainable future: our engagement with the Hamburg Sustainability Conference

For more than 75 years, our work – from resilient infrastructure and clean energy to ecosystem protection and inclusive communities – has carried responsibility far beyond individual projects. We have always understood that the decisions made today will determine the world our clients, partners, and communities inherit tomorrow.

We are therefore proud to participate as a partner of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC) 2026 – an international platform bringing together leaders, innovators and change-makers to advance global cooperation and empower alliances that drive progress toward a shared future. Taking place on 29–30 June 2026 in Hamburg, HSC focuses on issues that are far from abstract for us; they reflect many of the challenges our teams address every day across the globe.
