1.26-2026_02: Various long- and short-term positions for various projects in Vietnam on coastal protection and/or wildlife protection/forestry (national, regional and international experts (m/f/d))
The projects focus on protected area management, integrated coastal zone management, coastal protection infrastructure, ecosystem restoration and climate-resilient livelihoods for local communities.

The expertise sought covers several announced project tenders in Vietnam. The projects encompass complete project management cycles, including technical support and planning, procurement support, financial and contract management, compliance with environmental and social standards, implementation of specific measures for coastal and national park protection, community development and income generation, monitoring and evaluation. In addition, the projects involve coordinating stakeholders at national and provincial level, preparing technical and financial reports, and ensuring their technical quality.
We are seeking experts (m/f/d) in the following areas:
- ESMF
- Livelihood/community development (in coastal areas and or adjacent to protected areas)
- Value chain through SMEs, product marketing, packaging, etc.
- Eco-system restoration, terrestrial forestry and mangroves, agroforestry, agriculture
- Shrimp farming and fishery (in coastal areas)
- Disaster risk management
- M&E
- Integrated coastal zone management (ICZM)
- Coastal protection infrastructure: detailed technical designs and civil engineering (smaller and larger weirs made of organic structures and/or concrete)
- Wildlife management (e.g. surveys, patrolling, Law enforcement, , wildlife trade and trafficking, etc.)
- Zoonosis
- Shrimps, fishery
- Fund management, procurement, audit etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: M.Sc. (or higher) in Forestry, Biology, Economy, Sociology or related subjects
- Country /Regional experience: Work experience in the region is mandatory
- Languages: English is mandatory, Vietnamese is a bonus
- Expertise / Profile: The expert (m/f/d) must be physically capable of undertaking regular business trips to ministries, authorities and villages. In addition, the expert (m/f/d) must have a high level of intercultural competence and above-average verbal and written communication skills.
